THE RESILIENT STUDENT PROJECT:
18 Day Mindfulness Challenge
Project Director: Debra Norwood, JD
Purpose: Using "Good-Hearted Living Principles", by Steve Wilson, students at Decaturville (Tennessee) High School volunteer for training in Mindfulness, Brain Health and Therapeutic Laughter in order to become more resilient. By taking the challenge of journaling with the "Good-Hearted Living" principles for 18 consecutive days, they avoid “hardening of the attitudes” and are daring to live life fully and with confidence! This project is helping to shape the culture of the school in a positive direction.
Each student who completes the challenge receives a set of Self-esteem Posters from the Laughter Arts & Sciences Foundation.
